I just read a blog that sent me to a cool little colour hue test. You can find it here.
I've been convinced for a long time that we do not all see colour in the same way. A personal example for me is that I sometimes see purple when someone else will call the same hue blue. At one time I thought this was a semantic issue but when comparing colour during a workshop I realized that when shifting from blue to purple along shade cards I thought the change happened earlier. Perhaps that means I'm more conscious of the red?
I got a score of 39 . . .
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting test! I got 4.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, I got a score of 44.
ReplyDeleteI will try to do the test on another monitor. I have the impression that this might influence the colours as well.
That was interesting. I got a 15. I wonder how much one's computer screen and the ambient lighting in the room affects the scoring?
ReplyDeleteI got a new laptop last week, and scored 16. I have done this before and it was not nearly that good - was probably in the 30-40 range with the old one.
ReplyDeleteI got a perfect score. Maybe that's why I'm such a *fabulous* dyer. Teehee!
ReplyDeleteInteresting test, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI got 64. All of them in range of blues/greens. The remaining colours were zero.
Yes, monitor does influence the colours as well. Also beeing tired in the evening does not promise good test results. :-(
I got a 4 age 35! I loved the test!
ReplyDeleteI scored a 16. I wonder if I would have done better if my eyes could have maintained their focus, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting test! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI got 7, green/blue seems to be my issue
Really interesting, I scored 39, might try it again without hayfever itchy eyes though :)
ReplyDeleteI scored 15 on the test. That was fun!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 computer monitors and was curious to see if that made a difference. Yep, 8 on the first one, 21 on the second--which is the one I consider inferior as far as color quality. Interesting stuff!
ReplyDeleteI got a 12 on my desktop with my contacts in. I'm going to take it again without my contacts and see if it's any different. Very interesting test, but I'm curious to know what it means really...
ReplyDeleteThis is my second time taking this test... I can't remember what I scored the first time, but I remember being disappointed. This time I got an 8 - with errors in the green/blue range and the blue-purple range. Not bad, I suppose :').
ReplyDeleteI got a 12 again without my contacts, however my "low discrimination" regions were different. Hm.
ReplyDeleteI got a 7 without my glasses and the lighting is bad in this room :)
